OC - The Grimalkin

(( Ok, so I've been working on this girl for MONTHS. I'm so thrilled to finally see her finished! >u< Alright so awhile back I was looking through the thesaurus for an alternate word for "cat"..... don't ask. I got the usual results. Kitten, feline, kitty, ones like that but the last one really caught my attention. Grimalkin. o_0 I'd never heard that before so I looked it up.

A grimalkin (also called a greymalkin) is an old or evil-looking female cat. The term stems from "grey" (the color) plus "malkin", an archaic term for a cat, derived from a hypocoristic form of the female name Maud. Scottish legend makes reference to the grimalkin as a faery cat that dwells in the highlands.

That was about all it said on the subject but that much got me inspired enough to make an OC based around it. And that's how you get the girl in front of you :3 She started off as another good and nice character but I realized I have enough of those and I want a character I can cause a bit of mayhem with >:3 I mean, what's the point of looking evil if you're not a little bit, right? I don't have much practice at having a more villainous type character but I'm gonna give it a shot X3 ))


Name: ~The minute I find it worthwhile to tell you my name I'll let you know. But don't hold your breath~

Age: ~I'm old enough to know better than to cause so much trouble but young enough not to care~

Height: 5' 6

Weight: 120

Race: Grimalkin

Personality: A cold, manipulative and sometimes rather harsh person, she is someone you might want to think twice about messing with. Can be somewhat flirtatious at times but only does so as a ploy in order to obtain something and wouldn't have any real feelings towards that person. When she doesn't get what she wants, she doesn't take it lightly and can become dangerous quickly.

Abilities: What may look like a tattered cape on her back are actually her wings. (lower left) By spreading her wings and folding them around her she can seamlessly transform into a deceivingly harmless looking grey cat. (lower right) Besides this, her main ability is being able to steal an essence from a person which she's able to do if a person looks into her eyes long enough for her to draw the essence out of them. While in the form of a cat, she can see the full aura of a person in order to know the best essence to steal from the unsuspecting victim but she can only steal it when in her human form. So when she's in her human form and she's looking at you and her eyes begin to glow a bright white, run. Quickly. (The cat pic is not actual size compared to the full body pic in the middle. She'd just be the size of a regular house cat. )

Weaknesses: If whenever she gets hurt, whichever form she's in when injured she can't transform to her alternate form because it causes too much pain to do so. Also, since having the nature of a cat, sometimes those instincts get the best of her when she's around certain items………. such as yarn, mice and those pesky laser pointers.

Background Story: ~I suggest minding your own business and not poking your nose where it doesn't belong!~
(( She's not very open about her background….. as you can tell. So you'll just have to RP with her and ask questions to find out a bit more about her _{hint hint nudge nudge} ))


More info:

- While the rest of her kind feed off of the essence they steal from a person, she instead takes it, bottles it and sells it to others in a shop that she owns in a small village. (top left)

- When she steals an essence it causes the victim to reflect the opposite reaction to the essence she stole. If she steals Strength from a person, they'll become extremely weak, if she steals Happiness from out of them, they'll become deeply depressed, etc.

- She's always willing to give a person back their essence…….. provided they pay for it of course.

- When taking a person's essence, she leaves just a little bit of it left over in a person. This way a person will eventually regain that essence and won't have it completely removed from them. But she mainly does this because if she stole all of it, it would become a Pure Essence and if she sold it to someone else than that person would gain that essence permanently. So only taking a partial of the essence causes the ones that she sells to have only a temporary effect on the customer who buys it and therefore is better for business since they'd have to come back for more.

- With her wings so tattered, she can't really fly but she can glide short distances.

- (middle right) That's her "innocent" face. Every evil cat has one.

- (top right) While she's out stealing essences to supply her store, her colleague, Mina, stays at the store and handles the customers. Mina is the exact opposite to her coworker in which she's friendly, kind hearted and always polite to everyone she meets. Apparently a living essence being, she tries her best not to divulge her and her colleague's past but sometimes when she gets to chatting with someone she lets out more information than she should. _{Does she look familiar to some of you?
